#10 - Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Adding Tomorrows Every Day

The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a nonprofit donor-supported organization, is to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.

http://www.cff.org/

Life is short and beautiful. Everyday we wake up and go through the motions/drama/ups and down. There are some people who have to fight for every day they have. I lost two cousins to cystic fibrosis, it is a genetic and horrible disease. When i lived back home I watched two of the nicest people in the world fight for everyday they had. I would not wish that struggle on anyone.

The CF Foundation works hard to find treatments to prolong the life of CF patients. Hopefully one day there will be a cure for CF. Please give time/money/prayers to a foundation that is dedicated to prolonging the life of people born with this disease.

#11 - St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital

www.stjude.org

Here is why:

That is Brookelyn Hunt...she is only two years old. She is the patient of the month at St. Jude's. In the hospitals mission statement it says 'No child is ever denied treatment because of the family's inability to pay.' This hospital performs miracles everyday for young children. If you want to be a part of these small miracles please find a way to help. Become a partner of hope and give a little bit each month...sometimes especially in todays economy we don't have alot of money...one year I only gave ten dollars a month...at least its something. They are also always asking for volunteers.

"Down in their hearts, wise men know this truth: the only way to help yourself
is to help others."

'12 Charities of Christmas' #12

Hey All!!

Its that time of the year again.
Where those of us who are blessed with money, family and friends get to celebrate how lucky we are.
But what about those who have nothing?
No families.
No friends.
No faith or hope in life.

I think it is important that we try to make this holiday season about them too.
So between now and Christmas I am going to post information on twelve different Charities that I think help people who need it the most. I work with charities pretty much everyday all year round. And they are all hurting right now. The demand for what they offer has increased enormously this year...and the funds are not there to help keep them afloat.

So please if you have anything extra this year...either time or money...consider helping someone who isn't as blessed as we are.
